Professional Statement
Dr Celia Finger obtained her medical degree at the University of Queensland. She worked in a metropolitan hospital and following a stint in the central western town of Emerald she moved to Rockhampton working both in the hospital and General Practice.
Celia then relocated to Sydney where she spent 15+ years working at Sydney Children’s Hospital, the majority of time in the Emergency Department. Here she faced a wide range of Paediatric emergencies whilst gaining invaluable experience. Wanting a bit more of balance Celia then moved into General Practice which she has found extremely rewarding. Dr Finger is a Non-VR GP, her medicare rebate is based on OMP schedule available through the MBS online.
Naturally while Paediatrics is her forte, Celia enjoys all the challenges of General Practice particularly caring for the entire family unit. She is an accredited provider of antenatal share care with The Royal Hospital for Women.
When not working Celia loves to be active and outdoors, preferably both at the same time! She loves sharing travel adventures with her daughter, Caitlin.
